Later on, in the late 80's, Breakdance became a huge hits on the street throughout the entire world and I was a teenager. Yeah, my friends broke his spine and neck to do those silly breakdance moves including rotating his head on the floor. The name of the dance has a "Break" in it, so I guess those things bound to happen. Back then, we wore a lot of singlets, loose pants and definitely a pair of Nike Hi-Cut shoes and last but not least a BMX Bike.
This was what my friend did that broke his neck and
spine when trying to show off his Breakdance skills.
Beatbox or Boombox is everywhere and it was all hype. All electrical shops will have these radio/cassette player/receiver with built-in speakers in it with plenty of equalizers. I had my 1st beatbox with a Toshiba BomBeat 85 when I was 11 years old bought in Singapore in 1982. Oh yes, Singapore was a electronics heaven for Malaysians back then. Our Ringgit then was stronger than their Dollars and the electrical products were sold way cheaper than Malaysia. In fact, this was when I started to love music which brought me to hifi world in my adult life.
